Wolfgang
has created a Presentation talk called "Arizona
Gemstones" and was given as part of the
Centennial Celebration of the Tucson Gem and
Mineral Show 2012. The supporting article was
published in Rocks and Minerals magazine, in
time for the February issue of Arizona
Minerals.
We are specializing
in unusual, rare or difficult-to-work-with
materials. There are also special customers who we
have found a way to cater to their special needs.
Diana began making jewelry at a factory early in
the 80s. Somewhere the attempt was made to grow
professionally by taking various classes and
workshops and started a small craft business.
That's when she discovered the vast world of
minerals. The idea of using stones for their
character and unique properties as a focal point
was attractive to her, and the ability to do
lapidary followed close behind. Combining both
talents is always a work in progress. That said,
the recent focus is vintage and a combination of
techniques.
Wolfgang has been in the lapidary field for over
fourteen years and a geologist for almost forty
years. His specialty is ore mineralogy. Ore
mineralogy takes some very specialized polishing
techniques for the microscopic studies. It was a
logical choice to go into the lapidary field.
We are members of the Tucson Gem & Mineral
Society, the Gila County Gem & Mineral Society
and the Tucson Mac Users Group all of which are an
integral part of our business.
We do mineral shows
and local studio tours to show our lapidary
crafts.
DiWolf© items are
accomplished by Diana & Wolfgang Mueller. We
reside in a small community. Being in Arizona we
can be influenced by storms during the Monsoons
in summer. It is a time that we need to protect
computer hardware. If you are in need of immediate
attention, feel free to phone us. Sorry for any
inconvenience.
